Why has your dog seemed to tire more quickly for some time now?
It rarely begins with a clear symptom. The walk that used to be a matter of course now ends a little sooner. After climbing the stairs he stops briefly and breathes. When playing, he is done sooner than his head wants to be.
Many owners call this "he's just calming down". That can be true – but the heart is a muscle that works a whole life without pause, and this very muscle reacts particularly sensitively to its nutrient supply.
What actually happens in the heart muscle
The heart muscle obtains its energy almost entirely from fatty acids – and for that it needs certain building blocks in sufficient amounts. Taurine and L-carnitine manage the transport of fatty acids into the cellular power plants; coenzyme Q10 is involved in the actual energy production there. If one of these building blocks is missing, the muscle keeps working – but less efficiently.
In some breeds, the taurine requirement is naturally higher. In 1987 it was first demonstrated that a widespread heart weakness in cats had a nutritional cause; since then, the connection between these nutrients and normal heart function has been well studied in dogs as well.
The real problem is not the formula
Take any heart supplement from the shelf: the ingredient list usually looks sensible. Taurine, L-carnitine, omega-3, perhaps Q10. The question is not what is listed. The question is how much of it ever reaches the bloodstream.
Coenzyme Q10 is considered hard to absorb and in ordinary powder form only a small part is used – moreover, the reduced, active form (ubiquinol) is sensitive to heat and oxygen. Omega-3 fatty acids in turn oxidise under light, warmth and air long before they reach the bowl. A rancid oil brings no benefit, only additional burden.
A supplement can be perfectly correct on the label and still achieve very little.
What NanoLipoX™ does differently
We wrap the active ingredients in a shell of plant-derived phospholipids – the same material from which body cells build their membranes.
Using ultrasound at a maximum of 35 °C, this emulsion is refined until the particles measure under 200 nanometres. For comparison: a human hair is around 400 times thicker.
Three things follow from this:
- Fat-soluble and water-soluble building blocks sit in the same drop. Taurine and L-carnitine (water-soluble) as well as Q10, omega-3 and olive polyphenols (fat-soluble) do not need to be taken separately.
- The phospholipid shell protects against oxidation. In addition, nitrogen sits above the liquid in every bottle – no oxygen, no creeping rancidity. The sensitive ubiquinol in particular stays in its active form this way.
- Smaller particles mean more contact surface in the gut. This is the physical reason why liposomal systems make fat-soluble substances better available than simple powder.

Dosage: by body weight
Small dog (under 10 kg): 1–2 ml daily · Medium dog (10–25 kg): 2–4 ml daily · Large dog (over 25 kg): 4–6 ml daily. Best mixed into the food, during the meal. Always shake well before use.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my dog cough at night?

Is faster breathing at rest normal in dogs?
Occasionally yes; permanently changed breathing should be examined by a vet.
