When did your cat last jump onto the windowsill?
Not climbed up – jumped.
Cats do not limp. They do not whine, they do not drag a leg, they do not come to you and show you where it hurts. An animal that hunts alone in the wild cannot afford weakness – and this instinct has not disappeared after ten thousand years of living rooms.
What you see instead are detours. She takes the chair instead of the jump. She lies in a new spot because the old one is too high. She grooms her back less thoroughly. She steps more carefully over the edge of the litter box.
Studies with X-ray examinations show: in cats over twelve years old, degenerative joint changes are found very frequently – and in the vast majority, the owner had not noticed anything beforehand.
The same idea as for the dog. A different formula.
The cat version is not a smaller portion of the dog product. Three things are deliberately different:
The omega-3 amount is considerably lower. In cats, effects on blood clotting and heart rhythm are discussed at high amounts. The daily amount stands at around 160 mg EPA + DHA – at the lower, safe end.
Boswellia and curcumin are completely removed. In the dog product, both are included and sensible. Cats break down plant compounds via a pathway they only partially possess – glucuronidation. What goes in stays longer. For a product given daily over months, that is too unpredictable for us.
Taurine is additionally included. Essential for cats, and with a daily oil supplement simply sensible.

A maximum of 2.0 ml per day. Start with half the amount for the first five to seven days – cats react sensitively to changes in the bowl. Shake well before use.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my cat no longer jump up?
